First, some sound files produced in school, to help you with your speaking tests. The volume on the files is quite low, so make sure that your speakers are turned up! The files are in 2 different formats, the Wav file will work in Windows Media Player and the Mp3 you can store on your Mp3 player (Ipod etc).

• à tantôt - a modern languages site with a lot of resources. You will need a username and password to access the resources - see your French Teacher for these. The opening screen has an annoying Flash presentation, so scroll to the bottom of the screen and hit 'Skip Intro'. Because the menu links are also Flash, you may need to click on them twice to go to the page you need.

• Text to Speech Translator converts text into lifelike spoken audio in a variety of languages: English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, and Russian. Try it with DISCUSSION.doc and french_Presentation.doc

• frenchrevision contains tons of interactive French exercises. There are listening, reading and writing exercises. The exercises mark themselves and a score is given!
• Zut! offers FREE use except in school hours (9 am to 4pm on weekdays) and is divided into the 5 areas of experience containing the skills and understanding that should be developed in Key Stage 4, plus grammar exercises.
• Languages Online offers lots of quizzes and crosswords at all sorts of levels.
• Aiglon School website offers French revision for GCSE provided by a Swiss school
• S-Cool is the S-Cool French section
• Skoool offers some interactive French lessons
• gcse.com offers mainly hints and tips about the best way to tackle your French exams.
• Alien Language offers a slightly different look at learning which deals with parts of the body(!)
• Wild French offers a number of revision topics. The most useful sections are Topic based Revision and Practise your listening skills.
• Rainford High School offers a number of French revision items such as model answers and practice questions. These are in Microsoft Word format.
